About Us
Built on the pillar of professionalism with a personal touch, our Director/ Dispensing Optician, Anthony, has over 20 years experience. It started with his diploma in Ophthalmic Dispensing at Dekalb Technical College followed by work in optical practices and labs in Atlanta to working within the Barbadian optical landscape for 8 years before establishing Insight Optical in 2006.
For him, Insight Optical was intended to go beyond only providing great eye care that ended as soon as the customer walked out of the office. As a result, we have established real relationships with our customers offering support for sustained eye health attitudes and habits.
A perfect compliment to this ethos is our Office manager / Frame Stylist, Kim. Joining our family in 2019, she brings with her a rich history in customer service stemming from her time at Thompson Holidays where she operated in multiple locations from Africa to Europe as well as over 20 years at RBC Royal Bank. In addition to this, her natural flair for fashion and her USA-based cosmetology training serve to help her assist many of our customers find the right frames for their face and personality.
Finally, we have to acknowledge here the challenges of 2021 specifically the loss of our resident optometrist, Ciara. Her effervescence will be truly missed by the world and most definitely, the Insight Optical family. However, from 2022, we have had a team of consulting optometrists primed to provide excellent care to our Insight Optical customers.
